4th of July and Winston Family Visit

Grammy and Grandpa Winston, Auntie Caity, Auntie Kira, Uncle Aaron, AND Great Grandma and Grandpa Winston came to visit us in July. They were here from July 1st through the 4th. We spent time just hanging out which was fun. We spent time working on our garden and even bought some flowers for our flower beds. It was a great, short, trip!

We had some hiccups in the trip but we all brainstormed and thought of the perfect way to transport Great Grandma Winston up and down the stairs. She sat on a chair and was carried. It worked great and they were able to stay with us despite us not having a bathroom on the main floor. How grateful we are that they were able to see our home and visit us.

Family pictures!

This is funny. Watch everyone's expressions. Such a riot! For some reason I went to fix the camera and then couldn't get back in my spot in time without jumping on someone

FINALLY! A good one!

July 4th:

The 4th of July was really fun. Our neighbors across the street, the Warnicks, and we worked together to have a neighborhood breakfast at the pavilion. We passed out fliers and invited everyone and asked that everyone bring some sort of breakfast food to share. We had all of the good stuff: eggs, bacon and sausage, pancakes, fruit, doughnuts and pastries, and even some authentic Indian snacks (fried noodles). It was fun to see what everyone would bring and to get to know all of our neighbors better. We are going to try and do something like that a couple of times a year. (Unfortunately we didn't get any photos from the breakfast. Will need to be sure and do that next time).

We sure enjoyed the Winston family visit. They should do it more often!

Ella is 3! Milee's 4 month doctors appointment

Guess what! Ella is 3! Well, she turned 3 June 9th. Only almost 4 months ago. My how time flies. I find that when something doesn't go my way, especially with the blog, I have a hard time sucking in up and just writing about it anyway. We got a new camera after Milee was born from my parents and used said camera to videotape Ella opening her birthday presents (she got a wooden cradle/sink/high chair and doll from Mommy and Daddy). Well, the video was saved to the memory card and the memory card ended up being corrupt, meaning we can't retrieve the video of her opening her presents. We didn't take any actual photos. So I don't have record of my daughter's 3rd birthday :( which makes me quite sad actually. She loved her birthday presents though! Plays with them often.

On Ella's birthday we went to Winger's after Daddy got off work. We had a yummy dinner and dessert. When they brought the dessert I asked if the waiter would sing to Ella. I was kind of joking but he went ahead and grabbed some of the other waiters to join him. They sang to someone else in the restaurant before Ella and made this person quack like a duck, so Ella wanted to do that too. It was really cute. I had a birthday party planned for Ella which didn't end up working out. It was going to be a dolly party and 3 of her friends were going to come and bring their dollies and they were going to play and have fun. We were going to do a craft where they got to dress up a paper doll that Jared made and then we were going to have cake (in the shape of a doll, courtesy of Jared) but I ended up getting the stomach flu on the day of the party! Then I changed the party to a couple of days later and Ella ended up with the stomach flu. Yuck! I finally just gave up. Sorry sweet Ella. I will make it up to you next year. We did celebrate her birthday a few more times, however.

Grandma and Grandpa Smith and Auntie Danielle came to visit the 10th through the 16th after Ella's birthday. We had a great time going to the Dinosaur Museum, The Mayan, the mall, Red Lobster, and just hanging out.

June 11th: Breakfast at Dee's after a long drive for Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie Danielle

Van photos!

Red Lobster that night while visiting Uncle Dee and Aunt Lori

Milee had a blow out and I didn't have extra clothes in the bag. Haven't made that mistake since...

June 12, 2011: Milee's Blessing Day (that was a previous post)

Daddy spent so much time making a dolly cake for Ella's dolly party that ended up being cancelled twice, so we got to enjoy the cake just us!

June 13 and 14- We just hung out. I believe we went to the mall during these days and Auntie Danielle and Ella and Milee and I went to Murray park and had fun just the 4 of us.

June 15, 2011: Dinosaur Museum!

Bustier? Haha

Prehistoric shark! I would NOT want to be near the ocean during this time!

Love this pic!

"I've got the whole world in my hands..."

"...I've got the whole wide world in my hands!"

Ella got to make a fossil!

Afterwards we had some lunch and then went to the Gateway mall to do a little bit of shopping before our Mayan Adventure dinner.

The Mayan Adventure: Such a cool restaurant! They have live divers that perform while you are eating! However, they charge a super large gratuity and our waitress was awful!

Ella got this awesome dessert with a sparkler on top.

I told her to blow it out, hehe!

We just love when Grandparents come to visit! I know my girls enjoy it most! We are making memories here!

*Time stamp was wrong on a lot of the pictures. The dates listed were the dates the photos were taken.

Milee's 4 month doctor's appointment:

There isn't much to say about her appointment except that she is healthy. She weighed 11lbs 13oz and was 24.7inches in length with a 15.7inch head circumference. When Milee was weighed the nurse asked "how much did she weigh at birth?" and then proceeded to say that she just liked to see how much they change. Then the doctor came in and asked "how often do you feed her?" Made me a bit worried that something was wrong! They all said it was nothing but I think they were a bit concerned about her weight. Look at my husband people! He is a twig! It isn't a surprise that my girls are as well!

Doc was still impressed on her development! He said that she should still just be eating breast milk until 6 months of age, however, shortly thereafter I emailed him and we decided to start solids. Milee now is strictly breastfed except at night she has some cereal and formula as well. Love my girl!
